Hi, I’m Sam Shenton — your person-centred Process Optimisation Specialist, and the face behind Sorted! By Sam.
I’m based in the North East of England, in Middlesbrough.
My Journey to Process Optimisation
My journey to becoming a dedicated Process Optimisation Specialist for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) began with a solid foundation in problem-solving. After completing my Masters and PhD in Engineering at Durham University, I developed a keen eye for efficiency and systematic improvement.
Initially, my passion for organisation led me to help individuals declutter and create more functional home environments. However, I soon realised that the principles of streamlined organisation and efficient systems were even more critical for businesses striving to grow. This insight inspired me to pivot my focus. I now bring my unique expertise to the world of SME operations.
My Person-Centred Approach
I understand the distinct challenges small business owners face. This includes the feeling of isolation when navigating complex systems. This is where my commitment to a person-centred approach becomes crucial. It is bolstered by my Level 3 qualification in counselling. I believe true optimisation begins with deep listening and understanding your unique perspectives, concerns, and goals.
My approach is rooted in practical support. I offer a fresh, objective perspective. This is combined with the accountability you need to implement lasting change. I excel at organising, simplifying, and discovering innovative ways to improve your daily operations.
What I Aim to Achieve For You
My goal is clear: to make your business clearer, more efficient, and significantly less overwhelming. I believe that by optimising your core processes, you can free up valuable time. You can also reduce stress, and ultimately achieve the clarity and control you need to thrive. Outside the Workflows
When I’m not deep in workflows and process maps, you’ll probably find me building Lego, doing puzzles, listening to country music, or swimming (my newly discovered exercise of choice!).
